Our team
Brian Chandler
Consultant
Colleagues say: ‘Talk to Brian about something and you’ll come away with a new angle. He can see what lies beneath, with both organisations and people...’ and: ‘He’s fun to work with.’ On a typical assignment to refocus a team facing turbulence, he will listen (people talk to Brian) and then find his way to the heart of what needs to be done. A lateral thinker, he has a way of deconstructing a situation to allow better-than-hoped-for solutions to emerge. Once the team is in calmer waters, he is often retained by them, frequently as mentor to their leader.
Clients recommend him to friends – but not to competitors. So he’s worked across the economy from construction to publishing, in private, public and voluntary sectors, and with lawyers, accountants and engineers. As a result, he has an unusually broad perspective on organisational problems – and a first-class network.
He studied Science, Economics and Sociology at Cambridge when Crick and Watson were discovering DNA. The intervening years, some with Ford and some with Ernst & Young, make him a comfortable figure in any boardroom.
